WLU football welcomes former Penn State DE Eric Latimore to the coaching staff.

Golden Hawk alumni & friends of the football program,

We are just 2 ½ weeks away from the start of our 2015 Training Camp. The excitement is definitely building around the program and both players and coaches are eager to get started.

We will have everyone report on Saturday, August 15th and get all of the administrative things out of the way: equipment fitting, program head shots, medicals, concussion baseline testing, initial meetings, etc.

Then on Sunday, August 16th we will be into our full two-a-day practices. We will continue two-a-days until Thursday, August 20th when half the team will depart for our preseason game against the Saskatchewan Huskies in Saskatoon. After we return we will then have eight days to prepare for our first OUA league game, Saturday, August 30th at the York Lions.

Here’s what is happening:

New Defensive Line Coach – Eric Latimore
– We are thrilled to announce a new coach on staff. Eric Latimore played Defensive End at Penn State from 2007-2010 under Joe Paterno. Eric will bring a wealth of knowledge to a position we are really excited about led by Kwaku Boateng.
