Laurier Football would like to announce the commitment of offensive lineman Connor Smith from Regina Mundi Catholic College in London, Ontario.
The 6’6″, 280 lb Smith brings significant size to the line. When combined with Laurier’s other offensive line commit, Trawn Barrington at 6’5″, 301 lbs, the incoming freshmen are a huge tandem.
Golden Hawks Offensive Line Coach Irv Daymond, who scouted Smith described the latest addition as having “plenty of potential” and that he is “anxious to get started working with him.”
When asked why he decided to call Laurier “home”, Smith explained how “Laurier has been my top school for a while.”
“The small campus and personal feel of the university are very appealing to me,” he added.
Smith will study Political Science at Laurier with further aspirations of Law School.
