Laurier football weekly update

Laurier alum Brad Katsuyama.

Golden Hawk alumni & friends of the football program,

The 2016-17 Adopt-A-Hawk campaign has begun! Last year we had great success and bested our previous year’s total ($33,000) and raised $35,861. Together, we can once again raise more funds necessary to be a highly competitive team on the field.

This year, we will be very transparent and every month have the list of those that have adopted our Hawks. Look-out for next week as I will share the full list of those that have donated during the month of May. Thank you in advance! This truly does take a collective effort and our program greatly appreciates your support. For more info and to take part please click here:

Here’s what is happening:

Q & A With Brad Katsuyama
A must read article as we were able to learn more about how Brad’s time here at Laurier and his football experiences have helped shape his success today on Wall Street.

Strength & Conditioning Coaches
Familiar Laurier Football duo: Greg Nyhof and Taylor Smith have taken over Strength & Conditioning

Summer Runs
We had our first week of summer runs and the guys that have chosen to stay in Kitchener-Waterloo for the next few months are working extremely hard. These workouts combine speed, endurance, agility, power and strength. During these sessions the players are: running, flipping heavy tractor tires, carrying sand bags, pushing sleds, using sledge hammers and more.

CFL Training Camps
Good luck to all of our former Golden Hawks as they start CFL training camps: Shamawd Chambers in Saskatchewan, Courtney Stephen in Hamilton, Ese Mrabure-Ajufo in BC, Shane Herbert & Dillon Campbell in Toronto, Chris Ackie in Montreal and Ronnie Pfeffer in Ottawa.

Kids Football Camp
The week of July 18th – 22nd. Ages 7-12. Football Camp.pdf·
