Laurier football weekly update

fauldsGolden Hawk alumni & friends of the football program,

There is nothing like playing in front of a large crowd on game day. In OUA football, we are only given four regular season home games, so please help us fill the stands this year for each and
every game.

You are one of over 1,000 newsletter subscribers, so if we all come to the game and bring family and friends, every week could be packed like Homecoming. And, if we all agree that Homecoming is such a fantastic time, why not recreate that within your circle of friends three more times during the fall?

The biggest change for the upcoming year is that all 2016 season ticket packages have been reduced in price. The biggest reduction was for Laurier students who can now purchase season ticket packages for only $20. Adult packages are now only $50 and Laurier alumni, seniors, and non-Laurier students can purchase season tickets for just $40.

2016 Home Game Schedule
Sunday August 28 vs Queen’s – 1pm (Home Opener)
Monday September 5 vs York – 7:30pm (Frosh Game)
Saturday September 24 vs Waterloo – 1pm (Homecoming)
Friday October 14 vs Guelph – 11am (School Day game)

Purchase your season or individual game tickets here: We look forward to seeing you at the game and our coaches and players are working tirelessly daily to try and make this a memorable season.

Here’s what is happening:

CIS Sport looks to make itself more relevant
Excited to see that Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) CEO Graham Brown really wants to lead the organization to new levels. A very interesting read here:

Kids Football Camp
Just over a month away from our kids camp. The week of July 18th – 22nd. Ages 7-12: Football Camp.pdf

Athletic Complex Gym Bleachers to be replaced
Great to see that our athletic complex gymnasium is getting new stands for the 2016/17 season. This is a terrific facility upgrade and should not only help our basketball teams recruit the best, but new facilities help the whole university’s image and we will all benefit. <a href=”;
