Julian Mitchell is a recent addition to Laurier Football’s 2017 recruiting class.
The 6’3”, 190lb wide receiver is a top-notch prospect who attended Bridgton Prep Academy in Maine this past y. Prior to that, he attended Mill Creek High School in Georgia.
Mitchell is a player that has been coached at a high level and that is something Head Coach Michael Faulds believes will serve him well.
“How quickly a freshman is able to play often comes down to how quickly they can learn the complex systems at the U Sports level,” said Faulds.
“Julian has received high-level coaching already and that is huge for him.”
Laurier Recruiting Coordinator Dwayne Cameron explained how “with more and more teams recruiting bigger corners, Julian offers us a size-speed combination that will prove to be a challenge for our opponents to match, personnel wise.”
“This guy can flat out run and go get it,” he added.
Mitchell “loved the student atmosphere when I was on my visit there” and believes that he “can contribute … to continue winning football games in 2017 and beyond.”
