Laurier Football is very happy to have defensive back Tommy Bringi join the Golden Hawk Football program. The 6’0”, 195lb Bringi is exactly everything the coaching staff is looking for in a prospect.
“He checks off all the boxes,” said Hawks Head Coach Michael Faulds when asked about Bringi.
“He’s a solid student with exceptional character and a tremendous athlete – obviously.”
Recruiting Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach Dwayne Cameron commented how “Tommy brings us positional flexibility. He has the frame and speed to play any of the secondary positions as well as our dime linebacker spot.
“He was our #1 priority recruit in the backfield for that reason and we are excited to have him,” he said, adding, “Bringi is an elite athlete and is the type of player that a defensive staff can build specific packages around. He combines top-level speed to run with wide receivers, with a ferocious and physical style of play that lends itself to blitzing and playing in the box.”
For his part, a soft-spoken Bringi says he chose Laurier “because of its size.”
“Small class sizes allow you better chance to communicate with your professor and increase your opportunity for success.”
