Laurier football weekly update

The practice in London this past Friday was very good. We were scheduled to be inside practicing at the BMO Center, but with the warm temperatures we took advantage of the nice weather and practiced outside at Western.

Our players competed against the Mustangs in 1 on 1’s, Pass Skelly and Team period. CLICK HERE for some great photos from the scrimmage taken by photographer Kha Vo.

We are now fully into spring camp and, once again, we are committed to using all 20 allowed off-season practices for the fifth year in a row.

These 100 off-season practices over our time together as a staff is the backbone and foundation of everything we do. Our players learn to love and enjoy the process. Sure, game days in the fall are fun but, as I’ve said before, the outcomes are really decided this time of year.

Our next scrimmage will be with the Guelph Gryphons on Friday at University Stadium. It’s scheduled for 5pm.

The two men who called the 109th Yates Cup on CHCH, Mark Lee and Justin Dunk, will be there to give their take on calling this exciting game from the booth.
