Monday evening was the annual Laurier Athletic Banquet and our program did very well, receiving numerous awards:

  • Glenn Carroll Team of the Year Award
  • President’s Award (Laurier’s Top Male Athlete) – Linebacker Nakas Onyeka
  • Luke Fusco Academic Athletic Achievement Award – Defensive End Kwaku Boateng
  • Earl C. Shelley Unsung Hero Award – Photographer Kha Vo
  • Tuffy Knight Award – Play-by-play voice Dan Polischuk
  • Bill Haggstrom Trophy (Male contributing most to athletics) – Long snapper Jack Moore

Here’s what is happening:

Guelph scrimmage
We once again used one of our off-season practices against another team and hosted the Guelph Gryphons this past Friday. Although it is spring camp, if you were in attendance you would have come away saying that this scrimmage had the intensity and competition of a playoff game. PHOTOS

18th Golden Hawks Football Dinner just three weeks away!

Friday, April 28th – Bingemans Conference Centre

The two men who called the 109th Yates Cup on CHCH Mark Lee & Justin Dunk will be there to give their take on calling this exciting game from the booth.

We will be celebrating the Yates Cup win and all past Yates Cup winners (72, 73, 78, 87, 91, 04, 05 and 16) can purchase a regular $150 ticket for just $100.
