Laurier football weekly update

20180119 - Kha Vo - Laurier Football 2018_-122Simply put, last Friday’s practice at Rim Park was incredible!

I mentioned in last week’s newsletter that, during the practice the week prior, you could tell it was the off-season and that we weren’t anywhere close to mid-season form. Practice #3 was the exact opposite.

The energy, hustle, excitement and work-ethic that everyone had was like we were preparing for a playoff game. We are thoroughly impressed (one month into the off-season) with the progress we are seeing with individual players and the team as a whole.

For week #3, the Hard Hat Award went to third-year defensive lineman Robbie Smith. Robbie has a very big year coming up, as he will be at the East-West Bowl in May, where we know CFL teams will put him very high on their radar.
