Golden Hawk alumni & friends of the football program,
It is quiet around campus this week as everyone is off for Reading Week. The players are enjoying a much deserved break. Since they returned to campus back on January 3rd, they have had seven straight weeks of the off-season program where they have had four early morning lifts, a meeting and a practice every single week.
Once they return, we will continue with that template for just three more weeks, which will bring us to the middle of March and the start of our spring camp.
Many teams don’t take advantage of all 20 of-season practices allowed, but we are definitely not one of those teams. Every opportunity we get to improve individually and as a team, we will gladly take.
For Week #6, the Hard Hat award went to second-year defensive back Christian Hutter-Coppin. Christian has a perfect workout attendance this winter and he brings 100% effort to everything he does.
For Week #7, the Hard Hat went to second-year quarterback Tristan Arndt. Tristan is a leader in the weight room and also the classroom where he had an impressive 11.0 GPA first semester
