Laurier football weekly update

Golden Hawk alumni & friends of the football program,

We have decided to switch things up a little bit and have this football update and newsletter once a month in the offseason and weekly during the season. I’m sure you are all bombarded with countless emails in your lives and once a month still allows us to keep you just as informed in the Laurier football program. You can expect the newsletter now at the beginning of every month and like mentioned, once training camp begins in mid-August we will ramp things up to every week for the season.

The players are fully into summer mode now, which means several have returned to their hometowns for work. We are however, impressed with how many players have decided to call Kitchener/Waterloo home for this summer to train with their teammates. Those that have stayed have found jobs in town, many are taking summer classes and all are working extremely hard in the weight room and at our summer runs, which occur twice a week.

The team is focused in on making the next two months very productive, as amazingly we start camp on August 9th this year. We have an impressive group of veterans coming back, along with one of our biggest and best recruiting classes coming in. This should make training camp very exciting and competitive for all.

Here’s what is happening:

2018/19 Adopt-A-Hawk Campaign has begun! $1,200 and counting …
Once again, our team goal is $40,000. The donor list will now be updated on a bi-weekly basis. Help bridge the gap between Laurier and the rest of the OUA. ADOPT A PLAYER TODAY
