As part of our 2019/20 Adopt-A-Hawk Campaign we have come across some great stories. One being 1991 Vanier Cup Teammates Jeff Weddig #53 and Tom Heighway #43 have adopted a Hawk in the memory of their teammate and friend Dwayne Cooper #54.

Unfortunately, Dwayne took his life in 1997.  Jeff and Tom want to bring focus to the Adopt-A-Hawk program as well shed light on Mental Health and the need to know that you are not alone and there are resources and people close by to help.

At Laurier the Wellness Centre is a great resource: https://students.wlu.ca/wellness-and-recreation/health-and-wellness/index.html
