Golden Hawk alumni & friends of the football program,
This newsletter is brought to you by our great friends and the best movers AMJ Campbell.
2020 is here and there is lots of excitement in and around the program. The players are now quickly 3 weeks into the new semester, which sees them in new classes, many hours in the weight room and we also have meetings and practice every week.
Save the Date: Our 21st Annual Golden Hawks Football Dinner will be held on Friday, May 1st on campus once again at the beautiful Lazaridis School of Business and Economics. More details of the event will be in the next newsletter.
For now, take a look at some amazing photos from last years dinner: https://laurierfootball.com/laurier-football-dinner-2019/

More Laurier Football Headlines:
Thank You Coach Dwayne Cameron – Calgary Stampeders
o We are really excited for Coach Dwayne Cameron who last week got announced as the Linebackers Coach for the Calgary Stampeders. Coach Cameron will also work in the personnel department in preparation for the CFL Draft.
o https://www.stampeders.com/2020/01/16/stampeders-announce-football-staff/
o There is no perfect way to do so, but we want to thank Coach Cameron for his amazing contributions to the Laurier Football program over the years. In his time here Coach Cameron has worn many different hats: Special Teams Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, Defensive Backs Coach and he has had a great and very positive impact on so many players and coaches over the years
o We will miss having him around meetings, on the sideline and around campus, but we couldn’t be happier for him as he furthers his career in professional football with the Stampeders.
New Offensive Coordinator
o In the coming weeks we will be announcing a new Offensive Coordinator. We received a very good candidate pool of applications and we are excited to have another full-time staff member join our program.
RIM Practices
o We are back at RIM Park practicing every Friday from 3-5pm.
o Take a look at the great photos from Rossy Pasternak:
