Mark Vander Doelen – Assistant Receivers Coach

Mark Vander Doelen joined the Laurier coaching staff for the 2017 season as an offensive assistant, helping coach receivers. He has been heavily involved in coaching football at the rep level with various football organizations since the age of 20.

He has most recently been coaching with the Cambridge Lions of the OPFL for the previous three years serving as the receivers coach and offensive coordinator. During his time with Cambridge, Mark helped produce the highest ranking passing offense during the 2016 season that was essential to the team’s championship win.

Mark’s dedication to developing young talent has helped produce three OUA All-Rookies (Jackson White – McMaster, Tommy Nield – McMaster, Ryan Isenor – Guelph) as well as multiple USPORTS football players.

In his personal time, Mark enjoys living an active lifestyle and learning about fitness and physical training. Aside from coaching football Mark is currently working towards his goal of becoming a physiotherapist.
